
Biography
Emir Celal Er (born 2002) is a Turkish musician and composer whose musical approach expresses a new aesthetic vision. He stands out for fusing Turkish music with contemporary sounds.
The avant-garde and creative character of his music has received international recognition. His radically innovative approach has not only reshaped makam music but also helped form a new artistic movement by bringing together literature, music and philosophy.
He began composing, painting and writing philosophical and literary works at an early age. He has composed a wide range of works, including orchestral pieces, an opera with his own libretto, electronic music, and compositions in Turkish classical forms. He also plays various instruments, including piano, violin, cello, and bağlama.
Er has given numerous concerts since childhood, presenting his pathbreaking music in prestigious venues across several countries. His compositions have been featured in a Swiss jazz publication, and he received an award from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Türkiye.
He has taught students from around the world and performs as an artist of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Türkiye. He speaks fluent English and French.
