Münzevi
“Münzevi” is an out-of-the-box album, a fusion of Emir Celal Er’s musical and literary art. It features his unique oud improvisations and compositions that bring an innovative perspective to Turkish music, alongside his own stories and poems about the fictional character Münzevi (the Hermit).
The album critically explores themes such as existence, nihility, and humanity’s search for meaning and identity through stories and poems written in a new, abstract language rooted in Turkish literary traditions. It also marks an unprecedented milestone in music history by pushing the boundaries of makam music, composition, improvisation, and oud technique. "Münzevi" stands out for its multidisciplinary intellectual depth within 21st-century art and philosophy.

Xeno
"Xeno" -an orchestral piece for strings and woodwinds- stands out as a form of abstract musical storytelling composed by Emir Celal Er. Its masterful use of modern orchestration techniques is interwoven with a new perspective of maqams, the central element of Turkish music. Built from leitmotifs and their variations, the piece unfolds like a unique story that at times provokes a wide range of emotions and presents a modern aesthetic vision. Xeno also represents a system in which Turkish music is thought through the 48-tone equal temperament.
